A Magical Day

Where to start...
at the beginning
I’ve been telling you about the milkweed flower patch outside the living room window.
It’s really a mystery garden because new things crop up all the time.

Yesterday morning I found St. John’s Wort growing
This morning I found Echinacea making it’s first appearance of the summer

(note the daisy-like long pink petals around the round dark center. There’s a second, less formed one to the right. The pink flowers to the right (similar color) are the milkweed flowers that smell like lilacs)
Well, it was a gorgeous day!
Cool, low humidity, deep blue sky and rich cumulus clouds.
Perfect day for physical labor, and so it was time to put the back porch railing up in preparation for the Guru Purnima gathering.
Had to go to the home store in Oneonta to get a few bolts and a railing . Here are a few shots from the road.
ok, real or cartoon?!
Guess again... real or digitally created animation?!
These clouds are alive!
They have delight and personality!
Amazing!
Modify/Build you own Hybrid Car for under $300
John, who works in the health food store, has friends who have successfully used HHO technology - a system to turn water into a hydrogen/oxygen gas that sprays into the carburetor for 10%-100% improved gas mileage and cleaner, 10% power boost in engine power, and zero emissions (electrolysis produces oxygen and hydrogen - old technology arounds since the 1800’s). There’s a lot of questionable sites, but since his friends have found a set of plans (to inexpensively build it yourself and connect it to your car) that actually work - its relatively simple and inexpensive to build, I became re-interested in this idea; so he is getting the plans and we’ll see if we can build these and add them to our cars, and if they save gas...
here’s a guy on youtube with step by step details on  installing his HHO system in his truck.
Will keep you posted...
Came back from town, went inside for a moment, and when I came out the front door... there was a mama deer and her two babies just about 100 feet from me, dining at the thorn apple tree.

Sunset
As it gets dark, my dragonfly solar light comes on and illuminates Ganesh moorti - the actual color is not red - it was darkish with an orange glow from the light casting on Ganeshji.
It was also close to being half-moon night (or close)
another magical sunset

This morning
looked out the window to see a new neighbor...
look here
                                     see him here?

It’s Skunky!
We met yesterday at sunset up by the garden.
This morning he was foraging in the backyard, happily burrowing into the deep grass for breakfast.
