Hooray Sun Rays!
Success! Today was the first meal cooked in the solar oven (above). About 3-4 hrs cooking basmati rice and whole mung bean. Soft, delicious; and no gas used!
just put the pot out around 8am and at 2 I was hungry. It had rained from 1-2, so I wondered... would it cook?
Yes it cooked.
A bit more bold now, Ive got tea and yogurt cooking this afternoon - it has been cloudy on and off... lets see
The creativity is flowing now; brahmi yogurt; can it be done? Maybe I’ll try cooking that next time...
ok solar dhai (yogurt) didn’t work... maybe too hot, maybe not enough sunlight at the end of day (has anyone made yogurt in a solar oven? let me know).
Evening
purple haze, purple heather, purple people-eater, purple maple syrple... a dance of purple on the front lawn.
